Gas Industry
Natural gas is often transported through a long pipeline from a gas field to a petrochemical plant. To increase the gas pressure, centrifugal fans must be installed along the pipeline.
The power of the centrifugal fan ranges from hundreds of watts to tens of thousands of kilowatts, the speed is 3000~10000r/min, and the pressure is generally 7355kPa or higher. Large-scale natural gas liquefaction plants typically choose axial fans from four aspects: flow, stand-alone power, efficiency, and cost.
Axial fans stand out with their large flow and notably high efficiency, making them a superior choice in the transportation of natural gas.
One axial fan is required for the same production line, while multiple centrifugal fans are needed.
